As a Cloud Architect, you will utilize your extensive expertise in building various cloud solutions to drive our clients' businesses forward. Collaborating with Speko Solutions's Engineers, Delivery Managers, and Project Managers, you will deliver AWS cloud solutions to our diverse and innovative customer base. - Take ownership of technical engagements, ensuring timely and successful delivery of value.
- Lead planning, execution, technical engagement, and outcomes of specific implementation projects and assignments.
- Engage in code-based problem-solving and maintain a hands-on approach: 65% hands-on work, 35% architecture/R&D/meetings.
- Gain a deep understanding of AWS technologies and the market segments and industry verticals they serve.
- Develop expertise in constructing applications and services using the AWS platform.
- Collaborate within a highly interactive team environment, providing guidance on laying foundations for cloud architecture, scaling, development opportunities, cost savings, and vulnerabilities.
- Design, develop, and integrate complex DevOps pipelines, including build automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), security, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Initiate new client engagements.
- Build enterprise technology solutions in DevOps, Cloud (serverless environment), API and Container Management, performance, and stability using Agile methodologies.
- Undertake existing project deliverables and research new projects (R&D).
- Develop long-term plans with customers to adopt cloud best practices.
- Ensure high-quality project delivery.
- 3+ years of experience as an engineer.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical objectives and solutions to clients while establishing and nurturing professional relationships.
- Demonstrated critical and strategic thinking in addressing business, product, and technical challenges with stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
- Strong expertise in developing applications using Serverless Frameworks, API Gateway, S3, SNS, SQS, CloudFront, and Lambda.
- Proficiency in AWS Environment and Serverless Environment.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) in AWS.
- Proficient in scripting, preferably with strong skills in Python, JavaScript, and/or Typescript.
- Advanced hands-on experience in DevOps automation, including containerization, API management, and multi-cloud solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for working in a startup environment and the ability to collaborate across multiple functions.
- Natural curiosity and excitement for learning new technologies.
- Leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
- Experience with highly available and fault-tolerant architectures.
- Familiarity with serverless and container-based architectures.
- Understanding of IT compliance frameworks and requirements (e.g., PCI, HIPAA, GDPR, security).
- AWS Solutions Architect Pro Certification.
- AWS DevOps Pro Certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in specific technology domains such as Software Development, Systems Engineering, Cloud Computing, Infrastructure, Networking, Security, Data, and Analytics.
- 3+ years of experience in designing, implementing, or consulting on applications and infrastructures.
- Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, as well as executive-level stakeholders and clients.
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise IT applications.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in Software Development, Systems Administration, DevOps Engineering, Network Administration, Systems Architecture, IT Security, or other relevant technical disciplines.
