The Pre-sales Solutions Architect plays a crucial role in guiding our clients through their critical business opportunities and facilitating the implementation of effective solutions. Working closely with top-level stakeholders, the Pre-sales Solutions Architect acts as a trusted advisor, collaborating on proposals, statements of work, and project scoping. - Engage with customers to understand their business needs and lead technical architecture and design sessions.
- Conduct in-depth architecture and design discussions with customers, proposing well-architected solutions.
- Create proposals and statements of work that align with customer requirements and establish project guidelines for successful outcomes.
- Promote the Speko brand through partnerships with AWS and associated technology partners.
- Provide support and guidance to peers and other team members at Speko.
- Develop architecture diagrams and reference documentation for presales and upcoming projects, as required.
- Advocate for AWS as the preferred cloud platform through webinars, blogs, speaking engagements, and customer presentations.
- Establish trust and credibility as a trusted advisor during pre-sales engagements.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer to the delivery team during the transition from sales to project delivery.
- AWS Solution Architect Pro certification.
- 5+ years of experience architecting, building, and operating solutions on AWS.
- 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, application, database, and/or networking architecture.
- Ability to align business and technical strategies with customer needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation and workshop leadership skills, capable of tailoring conversations to technical subject matter experts and executive audiences.
- Thorough understanding of AWS cloud-native patterns and Well-Architected best practices.
- Experience with highly available and fault-tolerant architectures.
- Knowledge of serverless and container-based architectures.
- Familiarity with IT compliance frameworks and requirements (e.g., PCI, HIPAA, GDPR, security).
- Previous experience in pre-sales or a similar strategic roadmap influence within a company.
- AWS DevOps Pro and Specialty Certifications.
